Project description:
Our company has strong experience in the repair and maintenance of IFF equipment. Building on this, we launched the drone business line, focusing not on selling commercially available drones, but on developing solutions for identification, testing and commercialization of drone identification systems. A key objective of the project was to establish these identification and validation capabilities.
We expect a drastic increase in the number of drones, which will create serious challenges in airspace safety and in identifying aircraft. The growing number and size of drones pose security risks, including the safety of air transport and the protection of critical infrastructure.
Therefore, identification and tracking of drones is becoming a fundamental security requirement, and the mandatory use of appropriate transmitters will be necessary. These transmitters must not only be integrated but also validated in compliance with air transport and airspace control requirements, including periodic reviews.
Through the project we developed new capabilities, acquiring state-of-the-art test equipment, rugged notebooks and tablets for field work, and technology required for maintenance and measurements. We also upgraded our site infrastructure: refurbishment of the industrial property, roof and wall insulation, window replacement, heating modernization, and the installation of a 50 kWp solar system were completed to improve building energy efficiency.
Project completion date: 2023-12-29.
The development was implemented under the Széchenyi Plan Plus program. The project was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and the Hungarian state budget.
